Festival SAPHIR — Roche-la-Molière, FRANCE

Roche-la-Molière is a city of the agglomeration of Saint-Etienne. It has, for several years, undertaken a policy of urban renewal, passing in particular by the development of SAFIR (Street Art Festival In Roche-la-Molière), since its first edition in May 2015. Yandy was, in 2019, the guest of honor of the 5th edition of this festival. This Festival has the ambition to create dialogue between artists and the public.

The fruits are highly symbolic. Here, the character is represented eating limes, an evocation of his Peruvian culture. While the grapefruits, discovered for the first time in France, refer to his anchorage here. Through them, he refers to his lived experience: absorption and assimilation of two cultures.
