Animated and linked by a spirit of competition and the desire to exceed artistic limits, it is in the street that the skate culture and urban art meet.

United under the banner of urban cultures, this duality quickly converges in the 80s and gives rise to new combinations for the time. When skateboarding is an art and the latter is anchored on boards, the limit becomes blurred and creates a real synergy between these two movements.

This duality is also found in the two artworks created by Yandy Graffer for this exhibition. If in appearance they seem to address two distinct themes which are the Hip-Hop culture of the 70’s and a reflection on the origins of life before the Creation and the celebration of the cycle of Life, they are in reality a synthesis of the artist’s thought, as well as the major synthesis of his inspirations. Between education, beliefs, discoveries and hopes.
